We utilize Fused Deposition Modeling technology for our rapid prototyping needs. This process is fast becoming one of the leading RP technologies around the world.
Prototypes
Emerge can provide rapid prototypes for functional models, cosmetic photo shoots, marketing field tests, and wax castings. Rapid prototyping, or the ability to quickly transform a computer generated drawing into a three-dimensional model, can dramatically reduce the entire product development time and cost. This technology allows your design engineer to evaluate and refine a design prior to full production manufacturing.
We can also provide you with limited production short-run jobs if necessary. If you have a job that is very time-sensitive and requires only a small number of parts, we can quickly read in your CAD file and finish the job.
We utilize Fused Deposition Modeling technology for our rapid prototyping needs. This process is fast becoming one of the leading RP technologies around the world. Currently, we have an RP system and the newest system, the FDM Maxmum. This system is much faster than previous systems and can build much larger models. The Maxmum is designed to build large parts that need to be built on one solid piece.
Emerge is constantly studying the RP industry to determine the best methods and systems to cover a wide spectrum of sizes and geometric complexity.
Feel free to contact us anytime to discuss your next project and how we can help save you time and money.

Materials
FDM Filament System and Materials: Unique to the FDM process is a filament based system which feeds the material into the extrusion head and heats it to a semi-liquid state. The spools give the user the ability to change material packages quickly and easily. Our patented Break Away Support System (BASSTM) allows support structures to be easily removed from the model.
Emerge currently only offers the P400 material. It offers the best combination of strength and post-processing capabilities.
ABS (P400): Only Stratasys offers ABS, a common end-use engineering material that allows you to perform functional tests on sample parts.
